研討會總覽

東方與西方在許多議題上,有迥然不同的想法,例如:如何溝通、建立夥伴關係、管理及激勵員工、問題解決的方法等互動的議題。當問題發生時,東方人經常不能精確暸解、尊重並留意西方人的規則與期待。

本次活動將讓您透過學習戴上西方人的眼鏡,促進您與西方人溝通並建立關係,幫助您在外商公司的職涯發展順利成功。

研討會目標

  • 學習中西方文化的差異,以及文化的重要性。
  • 暸解為何人們用不同的方式溝通。
  • 暸解如何做好跨文化溝通以及建立商業關係。
  • 暸解西方人對於員工、主管、團體伙伴的期待。
  • 暸解西方人喜歡或不喜歡東方人做什麼或不做什麼。
  • 暸解”吹噓”以及”自我宣傳”的差異。
  • 從西方的角度評價自己的長處和成就。
  • 學習即使是面對自己的主管,也能明確有禮的表達不贊同。
  • 學習討論與辯論的基本與目的。

Seminar Overview

This 1-day seminar improves your ability to work, communicate and build relationships with Westerners in general, and helps grow your career in a Western company by teaching how to see, think and com-municate as Westerners do. You need to wear Western glasses to:

Seminar Objectives

succeed in cross-cultural communications and business relations
o learn how to “market” your messages to Westerners, not “sell” them
know what Westerners expect from staff, managers and team members
o Chinese-style polite is rude; be Chinese-style impolite and Westerners will like it
discover what Westerners like/ don't like about things Chinese do
o what causes minor irritations and major frustrations (most are easy to fix)
understand the difference between “boasting” and “self-promotion”
o being humble hurts; you must be able to say why, where and how you are good
evaluate personal strengths and achievements from a Western perspective
o Chinese don’t consider their strengths, achievements or how to “sell” themselves
know how to disagree clearly and politely, even with your boss
o Westerners expect disagreement; why disagreeing is often good
learn the basics and purposes of discussion and debate
o what Westerners expect from discussion and debate, and from you

Improving your English skills is NOT enough to succeed in a Western company. Westerners care far more about your ideas, opinions
initiative and willingness to try something new than they do about your language skills.
